About Department
In the beginning, Statistics was offered as one of the elective subjects in Intermediate and Undergraduate courses. Considering the importance of the subject honours degree in Statistics was introduced in 2018 to fulfill the present demand of students. The department has only one room which serves for both classroom (theory and practical) and department office room. The department offers UG (BSc. Hons) courses and the intake student capacity is 16. Syllabus adopted CBCS from 2019-20 and NEP- 2020 FROM 2024-25.
Vision
Spreading statistical literacy and creating enthusiasm for the study of statistics. To excel by imparting sound knowledge in statistics and enable students to become a good statistician making the department a centre of excellence in Statistics.

- • To train students to understand the complex data analysis problem and address the current data challenges.
- • Advocate to become a responsible citizen with the bestowed knowledge and serve the nation.
