About Department
Odia is an inspiring part of human life. The Odia Department is one of the best departments in our college. Odia has been taught in our college since its foundation in 1948. Odia was started as a special level for the post-graduation programme in 2023. From the beginning, the Odia department has been motivating its students to study in innovative and different ways.
Vision
Our department's vision is to contribute to teaching excellence by conducting relevant research and outreach activities. The department also aims to foster creativity and employability for its students. However, this department strives towards the nation’s development through the quality improvement of the mother tongue. The department's theme is ‘caring to care.’
Mission
- To facilitate widespread use of the Odia language in all walks of society such as administration, communication, education, health and general services for improving quality of life and livelihood.
- To develop and conduct in-depth studies on various regional Languages and tribal languages in Odisha to comprehend their impact on the Odia Language.
